The Class of ’69, 50-Year Reunion was held in October at the Claremont Yacht Club, with a record 67 classmates together with seven teachers assembled for lunch. Ian Crockett of West Cape Howe generously donated the wine.

Phil Chetwynd (England) and Krishna Ravi (Malaysia) flew in for the event. Ernie Hunter, Ted Lefroy, John O’Hara, Simon Murray, David Plummer, Brendan Silbert, Peter Tooke and John Walker all came from interstate.

It was particularly pleasing to see our teachers Dean Bowker, Gordon Davies, David Hayles, Ray House, Don Morrissy, Gordon Peter and Cliff Watkins. Arthur Pate was a late apology.

A convivial afternoon was enjoyed by all with many staying on well into the night.

Given our advancing years it was generally agreed that the next reunion should be held in five years time.
